Land 3 Designs

History

Land 3 Designs is the oldest architectural and planning firm in Northeast Louisiana. The firm was established in 1936 by H.H. Land Sr. and has been in continuous operation ever since.

After designing many signature buildings in the 1920’s and 1930’s as principal architect for the J.W. Smith Firm, H.H. Land Sr. started his own practice.

Herbert Land Jr. became known for his school designs & public buildings which he completed in over a dozen North Louisiana parishes between 1950 and 1980.

Bill Land and Cedrick Hemphill both joined the firm in the early 80’s and now manage the business with many other team members.

Design team members Gerald McClung and Robert Many have contributed to the firm’s success for over a decade.
